Lummus Technology and Advanced Ionics have initiated construction of a pilot plant for Advanced Ionics' electrolyzer technology at Lummus's R&D facility in Pasadena, Texas. This project aims to accelerate the commercialization of cost-effective green hydrogen solutions.

Lummus will operate the electrolyzer and manage plant systems, while Advanced Ionics will provide the electrolyzer designed for high-efficiency hydrogen production with lower energy needs. This pilot follows the 2024 partnership between the two companies, which focuses on sustainable hydrogen technology. The project is positioned as a vital step toward the commercial deployment of green hydrogen, which is crucial for decarbonizing various industrial processes and energy sectors.
