Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies has approved a €300 million budget for the GovSat-2 military satellite project, aimed at enhancing secure communications for EU and NATO partners. The satellite, constructed by Thales Alenia Space and set to launch in 2029, builds on the capabilities of GovSat-1 and is expected to bolster the national high-tech sector. Provisions allow for a budget increase to €500 million to mitigate risks and inflation.
