Makam Plant Hire (MPH) has committed to completing the Axim Sea defense project within 18 months. Project Engineer Benjamin Amissah reported that the project is 45% complete, despite earlier challenges.

The project includes a 550-meter breakwater, sea defenses, and eleven culverts to address flooding and drainage issues. Work began in 2024, was halted due to challenges, and resumed earlier this year. Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson praised the progress and reaffirmed government support for project completion.
