Malaysian army chief Hafizuddeain Jantan has been placed on leave while the defense ministry investigates allegations of significant cash inflows into his bank accounts, potentially linked to companies with military contracts. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is examining these claims, having already recorded statements from three individuals. Navy chief Zulhelmy Ithnain will serve as acting head of the armed forces during this period.
