Manatee County, Florida, is set to launch the Waste to Worth project, which will convert landfill waste into renewable natural gas by processing methane currently flared from the landfill. The initiative aims to generate annual revenues of $850,000 to $1.7 million for the utility department and will include the construction of a facility to purify methane for pipeline use, with completion expected by July 2027.
