DEFENSE
The U.S. Marine Corps demonstrated the capabilities of amphibious combat vehicles (ACVs) during exercise Steel Knight 25 at Camp Pendleton, California, emphasizing their role in ship-to-shore operations.
The 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, which first deployed ACVs in 2020, is preparing for overseas missions while integrating ACVs with landing craft operations. A recent $184.4 million contract for the ACV-30 variant underscores the Marine Corps' commitment to enhancing amphibious combat capabilities as they transition from older AAVs.
