Masdar has signed a power purchase agreement to develop a 200-megawatt floating solar project at Chereh Dam in Malaysia, in collaboration with Citaglobal, Tiza Global, and utility partner Tenaga Nasional Berhad. Valued at over RM850 million, the project will cover approximately 950 acres and is expected to power over 100,000 homes, contributing to Malaysia's goal of achieving 35% renewable energy by 2030. This initiative is part of a larger 10-gigawatt renewable energy roadmap established in 2023.
