Mast Reforestation Sells Carbon Credits from Biomass Burial Project in Montana

NATURAL GASCARBON CAPTURE

Mast Reforestation has buried over 4,500 metric tons of wildfire-killed trees in Montana, generating 4,277 certified carbon removal credits to combat carbon and methane emissions while funding reforestation efforts after the 2021 Poverty Flats Fire. The credits, purchased by organizations like the Royal Bank of Canada and CNaught, are part of a broader initiative that aims to scale operations to manage 20,000 metric tons of biomass per project, with a goal of 150,000 tons annually. The company, originally known as Droneseed, will monitor the burial sites for 100 years to ensure environmental integrity.
