Max Alexander Celebrates Asteroid Naming and Focus on Planetary Defense Photography

Max Alexander, a New Zealand photographer based in the UK, has an asteroid named '6548 Maxalexander' in honor of his contributions to space sustainability. Currently, he is focused on illustrating planetary defense efforts, including the European Space Agency's Hera mission, and documenting global impact craters for an upcoming exhibition titled 'Our Fragile Space,' which aims to influence space policy and promote sustainable practices. Alexander's achievements were recognized with the Sir Arthur Clarke Space Achievement Team Media Award in 2025.
