Membertou First Nation and Horizon Naval Engineering are set to acquire Genoa Design International, with the deal expected to finalize by January 31, 2026. The acquisition aims to enhance marine capabilities and promote Indigenous participation in Canada's ocean economy, supported by the First Nations Finance Authority. Genoa specializes in detail design and 3D modeling for shipbuilding, having completed over 130 projects for Navy and Coast Guard programs.
