Menlo Micro and Microchip have successfully validated a 0.5 MW MEMS-based Hot-Switched Power Panel for the US Navy, marking a significant advancement in marine applications. This validation, part of the 10 MW Advanced Circuit Breaker Development Program, highlights Menlo Micro's 'Ideal Switch' technology, which offers improved efficiency through reduced resistance losses and heat generation compared to traditional semiconductor switches. Final tests were conducted at Microchip Technology's power electronics test lab.
