Milan Linate Airport's Photovoltaic System to Generate 10 GWh Annually, Covering 20% of Consumption

Milan Linate Airport has implemented a photovoltaic system developed by A2A Group, projected to generate over 10 GWh of renewable energy annually, covering 20% of its energy consumption. This initiative will reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 5,000 tonnes per year and aligns with A2A's 2035 Industrial Plan focused on renewable energy. Lombardy leads Italy's solar energy installations, which totaled nearly 39.9 GW by June 2025.
