The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission has approved Minnesota Power's $163.5 million solar project in Cohasset, which will generate 85 megawatts of power, enough to supply approximately 19,500 homes. Construction is set to begin in spring 2024, with the project expected to be operational by fall 2027, as part of the company's broader goal to achieve 300 megawatts of solar energy by 2022 and transition to carbon-free electricity by 2040.
