Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced the issuance of an Expression of Interest (EOI) for solar power plants at five locations across the state, with support from 75 Village Councils providing land. This initiative, aimed at enhancing renewable energy generation, follows the completion of 791 rooftop solar installations totaling approximately 2.62 MW. Additionally, a Pump Storage Project is planned at Tuichang Lui to optimize energy generation during peak demand.
