MuWave, a spinout from the UK Atomic Energy Authority, has secured £450,000 from the UK Innovation and Science Seed Fund to advance high-powered microwave technology aimed at heating fusion plasma. This funding will support the development of gyrotron microwave sources and facilitate exports, aligning with UKAEA's strategy to commercialize fusion research and stimulate economic growth.
