Myanmar plans to resume liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports in 2026 after a four-year hiatus caused by civil unrest, following the recent arrival of a partial cargo. Kpler projects imports of 0.4 million tons in 2026, supported by the restart of two LNG-to-power projects. The Dapeng Princess tanker delivered LNG from Malaysia to the Thilawa facility, marking a significant step in Myanmar's energy recovery efforts.
