NARTO Partners with CNG Initiative to Cut Transport Costs by Over 30%

The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) has reduced transportation costs by over 30% through its partnership with the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (PiCNG). During the 2026 AGM in Abuja, President Yusuf Othman announced the deployment of new CNG-powered vehicles to enhance operational capacity.
The initiative aims to provide safer and more affordable mass transit, with additional vehicles expected soon. Othman also highlighted ongoing collaborations with security agencies and the Lagos State Government for fleet improvements.
