National Gas Company is set to invest $100 million in a mini-LNG plant in Oman, aimed at converting diesel generators to dual-fuel systems for oil and gas rigs. This initiative, supported by a Memorandum of Understanding with Abraj Energy Services, is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by 30% and operating costs by 15%. Construction is anticipated to begin in Q1 2026, pending pricing approval, marking the first domestic LNG supply in Oman for various users, including factories and power plants.
