All lanes of State Street (Illinois Route 38) in Geneva, IL, were closed due to a natural gas leak caused by a contractor striking a gas line. The leak was reported at 10:40 a.m. on Monday, and repairs are underway. Traffic is being rerouted as the area is expected to experience congestion.
