NATURAL GASBIOFUELS

As of December 15, 2025, there are 1,466 natural gas fueling stations across Canada and the United States, with 1,385 dispensing compressed natural gas (CNG) and 81 dispensing liquefied natural gas (LNG). The number of operational CNG stations has increased by 2% year-over-year, now serving 47 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

Of these stations, 46% accommodate Class 8 trucks, while 53% are publicly accessible. California leads with 318 CNG stations, followed by Oklahoma, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Additionally, 51% of CNG stations dispense renewable natural gas (RNG), which constituted 86% of all natural gas motor fuel used in the U.S. last year.

In Canada, there are 107 natural gas stations, with 31 public and 54 private locations able to serve Classes 7-8 trucks. The trend shows a positive outlook for clean transport infrastructure as more stations are expected by 2026.
