NAVFAC MIDLANT has named Lt. Cmdr. Benjamin Male as Military Engineer of the Year and Robert Delgado-Navarro as Civilian Engineer of the Year for 2026.

Male, serving as the Public Works Officer at Naval Weapons Station Earle, has overseen a $4.7 billion installation and will compete for the NSPE Federal Engineer of the Year Award, while Delgado-Navarro, the Design Director at Naval Station Great Lakes, has managed over $158 million in Navy infrastructure projects. Both have exhibited outstanding leadership and technical expertise, significantly impacting their commands and the Navy's mission.
