New Army Reserve Center at Camp Williams to Enhance Utah National Guard Capabilities by 2026
The U.S. Army Reserve Center (ARC) at Camp Williams will consolidate over 2,000 Army Reserve soldiers and 500 full-time personnel by summer 2026, marking a significant personnel increase in the facility's history.
The ARC, built by Jacobsen Construction, is set for completion in April 2026, with the first units arriving as early as May 2026. This project, supported by a partnership among the Army Reserve Installation Management Directorate, the State of Utah, and the University of Utah, aims to modernize facilities while preserving historical elements.
A new main gate is also planned to improve access and safety, with designs underway for completion by late 2027 or early 2028. Additional infrastructure upgrades across the Utah National Guard are expected to enhance overall capabilities, benefiting soldiers, families, and local communities.
