New SPAC Iron Dome to Target Israeli Cybersecurity or AI Companies

DEFENSE

Tom Livne is seeking to raise $200 million on Nasdaq for a SPAC named Iron Dome, aimed at acquiring an Israeli cybersecurity or AI company. Eyal Waldman and Dave DeWalt are board members. The SPAC trend is reviving in Israel and the US technology markets.

Recently, Israeli founders have launched several SPACs, including Menachem Shalom's SC II Acquisition Corp., which raised $150 million for a defense-tech acquisition, and Avi Katz's GigCapital Global, which raised $253 million and is pursuing an additional $220 million fund for defense or cybersecurity investments. Earlier, Izhar Shay and Ziv Elul's Israel Acquisitions Corp. announced the acquisition of Israeli drone delivery company Gadfin. Ondas, a US company, also acquires Israeli defense firms.
