Nigerian Navy Inducts 328 Marines to Secure $16.6 Billion Offshore Assets

The Nigerian Navy inducted 328 personnel into its Marine unit to enhance security for $16.6 billion in offshore oil and gas investments. Trained by U.S. Special Forces, the unit, known as the 'Bushmen,' will address maritime threats in the Gulf of Guinea. The Chief of Defence Staff emphasized the strategic importance of the Marines in bridging operational gaps between land and sea and protecting critical national assets.
