The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) is advancing gas commercialization initiatives aimed at Europe and West Africa, focusing on major infrastructure projects like the US$2.8 billion Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline. Construction milestones, including the completion of the River Niger crossing, are set to enable export activation by early 2026. Additionally, NNPCL is developing international corridors such as the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline and the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline, while promoting domestic cleaner energy initiatives under the Petroleum Industry Act.
