Northrop Grumman Secures $60M R&D Contract for VEYRON Secure Transceiver Chip Development

DEFENSE

Northrop Grumman has been awarded a $59.98 million contract to develop the VEYRON secure transceiver chip, aimed at enhancing digital beamforming applications while addressing supply chain vulnerabilities. The project, managed by the Air Force Research Laboratory, will incorporate on-chip Root of Security features and is scheduled for completion by June 30, 2028. Initial funding of $7 million comes from the Fiscal 2025 Office of the Secretary of War.
