NTU Singapore Unveils First Homegrown eVTOL Aircraft Prototype at Singapore Airshow 2026

Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) has unveiled the country's first locally designed electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft prototype at the Singapore Airshow 2026. The eight-metre wingspan aircraft, powered by eight NTU-designed electric motors, aims to enhance urban mobility solutions and is part of a collaborative project that took over three years to develop, supported by the Industry Alignment Fund under the Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2025 plan.
