Optimal Renewable Gas Secures A$95M Grant for Griffith Biohub Biomethane Project in New South Wales
NATURAL GASBIOFUELS
Optimal Renewable Gas (ORG) has received A$95 million from the NSW Low Carbon Product Manufacturing Grant programme to develop the Griffith Biohub, aimed at converting agricultural waste into biomethane using anaerobic digestion. The project will process up to 100,000 tonnes of organic waste annually, producing approximately 460TJ of biomethane and returning nutrients to agriculture. ORG plans to develop 10 biohubs by 2030, collaborating with Jemena, Baiada Poultry, and Osaka Gas Australia.
