The Osokom Development Council (ODC), Osokom Central Youth Council, and their Executive Committee have been dissolved effective immediately. On December 9, 2025, ODC youths disrupted the High Court proceedings in Okundi, protesting a lawsuit against ODC Chairman Victor Odok over violations of fundamental rights.

The protest included threats of violence if palm leaves tied around their necks were cut. The Clan Head of Bansan Osokom Clan, HRH Paul Nsabe, cited the conduct of the youths as grossly incompetent and irresponsible, contributing to increased violence and lawlessness.

Notable incidents included attacks on security personnel, injuries to four army members, and the unlawful seizure of firearms. A caretaker committee will be established to restore community order.
