OutBack Power and Near Prime Technologies Form Supply Agreement for U.S. Battery Systems
OutBack Power has entered a strategic Supply Agreement with Near Prime Technologies (NPT) to produce U.S.-made battery systems for residential and commercial energy storage. NPT, a manufacturing partner of C4V, will supply battery cells utilizing C4V's BioMineralized Lithium Mixed Metals Phosphate (BMLMP) technology.
The cells are UL 1973 and UL 1642 listed and have passed UL 9540A testing. OutBack Power will integrate these cells into its products, committing to purchase 2 GWh of cells over five years, with options for renewals and volume expansion until 2030.
The partnership aims to enhance domestic energy independence and ensure reliable energy supply. Additionally, a joint development of a custom Battery Management System (BMS) will be tailored to OutBack's specific architecture, adhering to safety and performance standards set by UL and the Department of Defense.
