A project financing plan exceeding €500 million for a large photovoltaic installation in Piana di Catania has been announced. The project involves land owned by Ipab Pennisi Alessi Allegra and Fresta di Acireale.

Companies are now allowed to submit bids by May 11 following a ruling by the EU Court of Justice. The project will be presented by Iride Srl, with additional annual payments to the Ipab and social contributions to Caritas of Acireale.
