A new research facility at Paderborn University has been inaugurated, housing the 'Photonic Quantum Systems Laboratory'. The lab facilitates collaboration among international scientists in physics, engineering, computer science, and mathematics, focusing on photon-based quantum applications, including quantum computing. The building, covering over 2,300 square meters, was completed in three years and cost approximately 83 million euros, funded by the state and the university with federal support.
