Pakistani JeM Commander Usman Killed in Joint Army-Police Operation in Jammu and Kashmir

A Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad commander, identified as Usman, was killed in a joint operation by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kathua district on January 23. The operation, named Operation Parhetar, resulted in the recovery of significant arms, including an M4 automatic rifle, and followed an exchange of gunfire after terrorists opened fire on security personnel. In light of the encounter, authorities have heightened security measures across Kashmir ahead of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
