NATURAL GAS
Cargo throughput at Malundung Port in Tarakan is expected to decline by 15,000 TEUs in 2025, dropping to approximately 70,000 TEUs due to reduced LNG shipments and domestic container traffic. Despite this decrease, the projected throughput still surpasses the 63,000 TEUs recorded in 2023. In response, PT Pelindo Petikemas Tarakan is implementing infrastructure upgrades, including ongoing dredging, to enhance port competitiveness.
