Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection has granted a permit to Iron City Wells LLC for the construction of 15 natural gas-fired generators in Karthaus Township, Clearfield County, to support an AI data center. The permit stipulates emissions limits and monitoring, with projected annual emissions capped at nearly 52,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent and various other pollutants.
