Peru Commissions 454 MW of PV Capacity in 2025, Totaling 952 MW Installed

In 2025, Peru's Ministry of Energy and Mines announced the commissioning of 454 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity, increasing the total installed capacity to approximately 952 MW. Key projects included the San Martín solar plant in Arequipa and the first phase of the Sunny solar plant, alongside contributions from hydropower and thermal facilities. Future plans for 14 additional solar projects aim to elevate capacity to 2.98 GW by 2028.
