PETRONAS Gas Bhd has executed a one-time prepayment agreement for jetty fees at the Pengerang LNG terminal, totaling RM 705.67 million (USD 173.64 million) over 18 years, aimed at reducing foreign exchange risk. This prepayment will address part of the annual fixed charges under the Jetty Usage Agreement from January 1, 2026, to March 2, 2044. The agreement comes as the Malaysian ringgit strengthens against the US dollar, with PETRONAS Gas shares closing at RM 18.
