The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of the Philippines has approved adjustments to the feed-in tariffs (FIT) for renewable energy plants, effective from 2021 to 2025, with recovery starting in 2026. This marks the first adjustment since 2020.

The FIT rates for biomass will rise from P7.0655/kWh in 2021 to P8.1259/kWh in 2025. Hydro rates will increase from P6.1747/kWh in 2021 to P7.1626/kWh in 2025. Solar rates will adjust from P10.5513/kWh in 2021 to P12.0074/kWh in 2025, while wind rates will go from P9.1940/kWh in 2021 to P10.5178/kWh in 2025.

Additionally, the ERC approved a FIT rate of P6.9282/kWh for run-of-river hydropower projects, valid until December 31, 2026, with a 0.5% annual degression until a 100 MW target is met. This initiative supports the goal of achieving a 35% renewable energy mix by 2030.
