The Philippines has received the BRP Rajah Sulayman (PS-20), the first of six offshore patrol vessels from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, as part of a ₱30 billion ($573 million) contract signed in 2022. Each 2,400-ton vessel boasts a length of 94 meters and an operational range of 5,500 nautical miles. This acquisition is part of a broader plan to invest ₱2 trillion (approximately $35 billion) over the next decade to enhance the country's military capabilities.
