Philippines to Auction Over 100 MW of Renewable Energy Capacity
GEOTHERMALCARBON CAPTURE
The Department of Energy (DOE) of the Philippines has announced that at least 100 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity will be available for auction. The auction will focus on hydropower, geothermal, and wind energy projects, with specific developments already identified.
The government aims to attract investments through initiatives like the Open and Competitive Selection Process (OCSP) and the Green Energy Auction Program. Additionally, the DOE is finalizing a carbon credit framework to support local renewable projects and facilitate participation in the carbon credit market.
