Phillips Corporation's Federal Division has secured a contract with the U.S. Army to supply containerised hybrid manufacturing systems as part of the Metal Working Machine Shop Set (MWMSS) Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) Modification program.

This initiative aims to enhance the Army's expeditionary and sustainment manufacturing capabilities through high-deposition WAAM technology, combining additive manufacturing and CNC machining. The delivery falls under a five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract managed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division.
