Picatinny Arsenal Receives Historic M1897 Cannon for Engineering and Training Use

Picatinny Arsenal has acquired a historic M1897 Quick Firing Field Gun, previously held by the Center of Military History, for use in engineering courses at Armaments University to assist students with ballistic calculations. Meanwhile, U.S. Army Soldiers and engineers are collaborating on turret systems for armored vehicles, utilizing virtual and augmented reality tools to enhance design and operational evaluations, with the Objective Commander's Weapon Station currently in production for the Armored Multipurpose Vehicle.
