Portugal and Embraer Sign Agreement for New Aeronautics Factory in Beja

DEFENSE

Portugal's Minister of Defense, Nuno Melo, signed a letter of interest with Embraer President Bosco da Costa Júnior on December 15, 2023, for a new aeronautics factory in Beja. The facility will manufacture A-29N Super Tucano aircraft. This agreement was signed during the delivery ceremony of the first five of twelve A-29N Super Tucano aircraft at OGMA in Alverca, part of a €200 million investment to modernize the Portuguese Air Force.
