Premier Explosives Limited (PEL) plans to set up a ₹500 crore defence explosives manufacturing unit in Muttarasalli village, Nellore district. The project will span 450 acres and be implemented in three phases, with approvals from the State Investment Promotion Council. The unit aims to enhance indigenous defence production, reduce import reliance, and support DRDO and ISRO programs, generating approximately 2,050 jobs.
