President Prabowo Subianto to Inaugurate Lumut Balai Geothermal Power Plant II in South Sumatra

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia announced that President Prabowo Subianto will soon inaugurate the Lumut Balai Geothermal Power Plant Unit II in Muara Enim, South Sumatra. With a capacity of 55 megawatts, the plant commenced operations on June 30, 2025.
The inauguration is expected by the end of this month or next. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk operates the plant, which has successfully passed safety certifications and is projected to contribute to Indonesia's renewable energy goals.
