PSV Hafnium Secures €60M for DTU Spinouts in AI and Cleantech

QUANTUM COMPUTING

PSV Hafnium has reached a €60 million final close, exceeding its €55 million initial target, to fund science-rooted spinouts in AI and cleantech. The fund focuses on addressing the funding gap in Nordic deeptech, particularly in quantum computing and clean energy.

Launched in 2024 with a cap of €80 million, it has already invested in nine portfolio companies and plans to support over 25 spinouts at Series A. Investors include the European Investment Fund and 40 deeptech limited partners.

Founding partners leverage a 20-year legacy at DTU, Denmark's top technical university, emphasizing hardtech and patented innovations. PSV Hafnium aims for unicorn-level exits by 2030 while mentoring founders in the DTU ecosystem to compete with Silicon Valley.
