Puerto de Guaymas to Triple Capacity with 131 Billion Peso Private Investment

A private investment of 131 billion pesos will expand and modernize Puerto de Guaymas, increasing its capacity from 12 to 36 million tons and allowing it to accommodate 12 vessels simultaneously. The project, which includes the construction of a liquefied natural gas terminal by Amigo LNG, aims to create 360 direct and 11,000 indirect jobs while supporting Mexico's energy security and regional economic growth. Additionally, the initiative features the establishment of an artificial reef to promote marine biodiversity and sustainable tourism.
