Puntland Defense Forces Integrate New Troops for Al-Miskaad Mountain Security Operations

The Puntland Defense Forces have integrated new Dervish units to enhance security operations in the Al-Miskaad mountains, recently cleared of ISIS militants. Following their formal induction in Dhaadaar, these units will receive salaries through the military payroll system and are tasked with preventing the re-emergence of ISIS in the region. Additionally, forces previously engaged in Al-Miskaad operations have been reassigned to support Operation Thunder in the Cawsane area, aimed at stabilizing key locations.
