Quantcore, a University of Glasgow spin-out, has secured £2.5 million in funding to establish a domestic supply chain for quantum hardware. The investment, co-led by PXN Ventures, Blackfinch Ventures, and Scottish Enterprise, aims to enhance national security and economic competitiveness.

Quantcore focuses on manufacturing niobium-based components for quantum technologies, which offer higher temperature performance than traditional materials. The company plans to expand its workforce significantly over the next 18 months.
