Randolph Farms Converts Landfill Waste to Renewable Natural Gas for Vehicle Fuel

NATURAL GASBIOFUELS

Randolph Farms has implemented a closed-loop system to convert landfill gas into renewable natural gas (RNG) for vehicle fuel. Since 2018, the facility has upgraded landfill gas, primarily methane, for use in trucks operated by Best Way Disposal.

The project has led to the production of RNG equivalent to 450,000 gallons of diesel fuel, significantly reducing carbon emissions by avoiding flaring and combustion. The initiative aims to improve efficiency and sustainability in waste management.
